SPECIAL NEEDS BACKGROUND:
Heather's journey working with special needs individuals began when she and a colleague created a movement program for visually impaired children and adults as their senior thesis at the Boston Conservatory. The program was successfully piloted at both the Perkins School of the Blind and the Carroll Center for the Blind in Boston, MA and was the demo thesis for BCM for years following their graduation. Since then, Heather has specialized in teaching movement, dance and drama to those with physical and mental challenges. Her classes offer a safe environment for exploration, creation, socialization, discipline, focus, growth and performance. Heather works with children & adults whose disabilities include those with those who are blind, deaf, with down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, mental retardation, learning disorders, adhd, bipolar disorder, anxiety & depression.

*Assistant Director & co-choreographer for LA Opera's community program which involves over 500 performers including those with disabilities since 2009.
*Lead Instructor & Workshop Creator for MUSE/IQUE with outreach to group homes, foster care facilities and under serviced youth since 2015.
*Lead Instructor teaching in numerous LAUSD & PUSD schools and community classes with Theatre Bethune's Infinite Dreams program from 2000-2010.
*Co-Creator and Associate Director of Bethune II, a special needs performing troupe from 2007-2010.
*Artist In Residence with the Pasadena Pops/Sycamores boys facility program "Exploring Music" under the direction of Rachel Worby for three seasons.
*Master Classes for special needs students and teachers of special needs at REGIONAL DANCE AMERICA'S NATIONAL FESTIVAL 2010.
*CERTIFIED and teacher in LAUSD schools with the Jacques D'Amboise National Dance Institute curriculum for California Dance Institute.
HEATHER LIPSON BELL - Founder & Creative Director
Performer, Choreographer and Educator Heather Lipson Bell works nationally and abroad on stage and screen, in both the classroom and the community. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Boston Conservatory. Credits include: New York and Los Angeles Philharmonics; Los Angeles, Dallas, Palm Beach and Boston Lyric Opera companies; Boston and South Dakota Symphony Orchestras; Pasadena Symphony and Pops; the Hollywood Bowl; City Ballet of Los Angeles; Helios Dance Theatre; La Danserie; Wenta Ballet of Los Angeles; Theatre Bethune; South Bay CLO; Cabrillo Music Theatre and Odyssey Dance Theatre. Film Credits include two Academy Award Winners: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and West Bank Story. Currently she runs Performing Arts For All, is the Director of Education at MUSE/IQUE. Guest Teaching Artist and Assistant Director with Los Angeles Opera Education Department; and a Wharton Performance Certified Flexibility Technician.
